Robert Garite

Born in 1976, in Woodstock, IL, I spent the majority of my childhood in the small town of Island Lake. Growing up in a small town allowed me to develop a love of nature, and I spent as much time as I could exploring forests, skateboarding, and swimming in a nearby lake.

After rejecting the Jehovah’s Witness faith at 13, I ran away from home and lived with many of my friends’ families. Bouncing around until 16, I saw the birth of my son, Tyler, who changed my life forever. But at 15 and a half, I had already made the biggest mistake of my life, and I patiently wait until we can be reunited in 2014.
