Ragıp Zarakolu

Ragıp Zarakolu is a Turkish human rights activist and publisher. In 1977 Zarakolu and his wife, Ayşe Nur Zarakolu, founded the Belge Publishing House, which has been an object of censorship since its inception. Throughout his decades-long publishing career, Ragıp has been singled out by the authorities for his commitment to freedom of expression and minority rights and his quest for truth, justice, and reconciliation.
