Born in 1961, Matthew C. Cox spent his childhood in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. He attended East Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 1983. He moved to New Mexico in 1987, where he has worked as a music teacher, business owner, tax preparer, and consultant.
