Marjane Satrapi

Marjane Satrapi was born in Rasht.

She is the author and illustrator of Persepolis, named one of the ‘100 Best Books of the Decade’ by Times magazine. Satrapi’s other books include Embroideries, Chicken with Plums, and most recently, the short fable The Sigh.

She lives in Paris, where her illustrations appear regularly in newspapers and magazines.
