Benjamin Pervish

“The Bucket” was both scary and exciting. Writing and performing a role based largely on my personal experiences in front of people, whew. Who would have thought a shy boy from Slidell, Louisiana, diehard New Orleans Saints supporter, lover of animals, would grow into this man, performing his heart out on stage in prison? Raised by my grandparents, Dad was active in my life. Moved to Oregon at age 14 to live with mom, stepdad, sister, and two brothers. Blessed with a healthy upbringing, it was a surprise to many that I chose the life of crime. While incarcerated, I work daily on improving my relationship with my daughter and myself. Learning the art of writing, reading as a past time, being inspired by all things positive.
