Steven Wishnia

Steven Wishnia is author of the novel When the Drumming Stops, a tale of four aging rockers (Manic D Press); the music-writings anthology A-String to Your Heart; the short- story collection Exit 25 Utopia; and The Cannabis Companion. He also writes about labor and housing issues as a reporter for Work-Bites. His journalism career includes the last article published in the original Village Voice and being called a “public nuisance” by the governor who gutted New York State’s rent regulations in 1997. Bassist in the 1980s post-punk band the False Prophets, he now plays semi-professionally around New York City.
