Stephana Ferrell, a parent of two in Orange County Public Schools and Director of Research & Insight at the Florida Freedom to Read Project, is a leading advocate for academic freedom and equitable access to education. She began organizing in response to policy violations around book removals in fall 2021. Alongside fellow Director and public-school parent Raegan Miller, she has helped establish FFTRP as a trusted statewide resource for defending the freedom to read in Florida.
