Shaunelle Curry, Founder and CEO of Media Done Responsibly, is an author, Masters level educator, and advocate for women and youth. In 2006, Shaunelle created Media Done Responsibly (formerly Mother’s Day Radio), a movement calling for a day to rest from the denigration and sexual objectification of women on urban radio. This advocacy movement has now expanded to an award-winning Media Education program that trains over 200 college mentors annually to lead workshops in critical media literacy thought for middle and high school youth.
