Rhiannon Rashidi is a Senior at the City College of New York studying Comparative Literature and Journalism. She is the Editor in Chief of her college’s newspaper, a journalism fellow with the Inner Circle, and a writing fellow for The Nation magazine. Rhiannon believes that reading stories is an exercise in empathy and that the freedom to use one’s voice is a human right. She is inspired by her family’s emigration from Iran and hopes to eventually help promote artistic freedom within the country. Rhiannon plans to work as a journalist in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and is excited to learn many languages.
