Rachel Lee is a fourth-year undergraduate at Vanderbilt University studying English/Literary Studies and Human & Organisational Development (Community Leadership concentration), working on the Free Expression Advocacy in D.C. program track. Her academic interests include A.I. and data ethics, artist/writer censorship, and feminist literature. Prior to PEN America, she has gained experience in policy analysis and advocacy at the Tennessee Justice Center, expanding healthcare and nutrition access for local immigrant communities. Rachel has also worked at Warner Bros. Discovery and Strike Magazine Nashville, developing media communications and creative marketing projects. In Fall 2023, she will be interning at The Future of Free Speech, a collaborative research and advocacy endeavour between global think tank Justitia, and Vanderbilt University. In her free time, she can be found hunting for the next best matcha latte in the game.
