Pratika Katiyar is an honours student on scholarship at Northeastern University, majoring in Communication Studies and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. On campus, she excels as President of Northeastern Women in Business and also works at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard Law School, researching the intersections of tech and law. Her past professional experience includes working in privacy at Amazon. Pratika is a fervent free expression activist and the youngest member of the Board of Directors of the Student Press Law Center. Over the past few years, she testified for legislation and spearheaded a nationwide campaign promoting First Amendment protections for student journalists. She has made speaking appearances at Harvard Law School, Georgetown Law School, and the United Nations. For her work, she has been profiled in several news outlets, such as Teen Vogue, NBC Washington, and ABC. Her writing has appeared in the Richmond Times, CNN, and more. Pratika is passionate about youth voices and the future of the First Amendment. She enjoys exploring the intersections of digital communications and law.
