Nina Burleigh is a journalist, best-selling author, documentary producer, and publisher of a substack on politics called American Freakshow. She’s the author of eight books on an array of topics including Trump and women, archaeological forgery in Jerusalem, scientists in 18th Century Egypt, James Smithson, Amanda Knox in Italy, which were reviewed, excerpted or covered in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, ABC, MSNBC, and other media outlets. She is the author of two novellas in The Road Sign trilogy, and will be completing the third at a a Dora Maar House fellowship in Menerbes, France this summer. She was born and educated in the Midwest, has been based in Washington, D.C., New York, Norway, Paris and Italy, traveled and reported extensively in the Middle East. She is currently finishing a nonfiction book for Simon & Schuster about a double murder on the island of Dominica to be published next year.
