Markus Dohle is the founding past CEO Emeritus of Penguin Random House, the world’s largest trade book publisher, operating 350 editorially independent imprints in more than 20 countries worldwide.
Markus’s entire professional life has been devoted to the support of authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers.
Today, Markus serves as investor, advisor and board member for many companies, start-ups and not-for-profit organizations in the global book business. He is also an international key note speaker, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the founder of the “Dohle Book Defense Fund” against book bans in the United States, and for the freedom to write and to read around the world.
