Karen Wong founded Hobbamock Design, a Boston-based graphic design firm committed to non-profits and social causes. She is the Founding Co-Director of the Festival of Ideas for the New City, a downtown initiative steered by the New Museum. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Storefront for Art and Architecture. She received a 2010 Inspiration Award at the 18th Anniversary Benefit for APEX for Youth, the largest Asian-American mentoring program on the East Coast and joined their Board in 2011.She writes an ongoing series about breaking architecture out of the echo chamber for Architizer.com.
