Jonathan Franzen is the author of four novels: The Twenty-Seventh City (1988), Strong Motion (1992), The Corrections (2001) and Freedom (2010).
The Corrections won the National Book Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction, and the PEN/Faulkner Award. Franzen’s other honors include a Whiting Writers’ Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the American Academy’s Berlin Prize.
He lives in New York City and Santa Cruz, California.
