Jason Ray Bouchard wants to publish a book of short stories, essays, and poetry. He does not want to be “the guy in prison who writes about prison,” he wants to be “the guy sent to prison to die who figured out how to escape and live forever in the heart of the world.” He has won Honorable Mention in L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest – 2nd Quarter (2024) and the Fielding A. Dawson Award in Fiction in the 2024 PEN Prison Writing Awards for “Daddy’s Little Girl.”
