Jack Saul, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of Clinical Population and Family Health at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and director of the International Trauma Studies Program.
He works internationally with reporters and photographers on the coverage of survivors of severe human rights violations and with humanitarian, legal, and media organizations on the development and implementation of staff welfare programs. He completed his doctoral degree at Boston University and clinical internship in child and family therapy at the Judge Baker Guidance Clinic, Harvard Medical School.
He is currently researching family and community services for refugee survivors of war and political violence in New York City. He is the recipient of the 2008 American Family Therapy Academy Award for Distinguished Contribution to Social Justice, and the 2002 Marion Langer Award for Human Rights and Social Change of the American Association for Orthopsychiatry.
