Belfast-native Glenn Patterson is a playwright, filmmaker, and novelist. He has been a writer in residence at the University of East Anglia and University College Cork, and has written eight novels and two works of nonfiction. The screenplay for the 2013 UK film Good Vibrations, which Patterson co-wrote with Colin Carberry, was nominated for the Outstanding Debut BAFTA. He is the 2016 Heimbold Chair of Irish Studies at Villanova University.
