Donica Bettanin

Donica Bettanin was the literary awards program director at PEN America. She worked as an international rights manager and literary agent before moving into program management for organizations, including The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne, the PEN World Voices Festival and Lit Crawl in New York, and most recently the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival in Bali, Indonesia, where she oversaw a program of more than 200 events over five days. Bettanin has served as secretary of the Australian Literary Agents’ Association, on the management board of Express Media, and is a mentor with Girls Write Now. She holds a BA in media studies and is currently pursuing a master’s in nonprofit management at Columbia University.
