Craig Seligman was born in Louisiana. He lived in San Francisco for many years before moving to Brooklyn in 1991 with his husband, Silvano Nova. He has been an editor at many newspapers and journals, and has written articles, and especially criticism, for as many more. He was the books editor and, for a long time, the lead book critic (and, for a shorter time, a movie critic) for Bloomberg News. His Sontag and Kael: Opposites Attract Me was published in 2004. He served as an advisor on Nancy Kates’s 2014 documentary Regarding Susan Sontag.
