Brett Neely is the supervising editor of NPR’s disinformation reporting team. A former reporter and political editor, he has worked at the intersection of political coverage and collaborative journalism since arriving at NPR in 2015. He also led NPR’s coverage of voting rights and election security during the 2016 and 2020 elections. In his role covering disinformation, Neely leads a small team of reporters and works closely with other journalists around the NPR newsroom and the wider public radio system. Before coming to NPR, Neely worked for Minnesota Public Radio and Marketplace and spent time working as a freelance reporter in Berlin.
