Art Spiegelman is a Pulitzer Prize—winning artist and illustrator.
Creator of the masterful Holocaust narratives Maus and Maus II, his other critically acclaimed books include In the Shadow of No Towers and Breakdowns: Portrait of the Artist as a Young %@&*! In addition to the Pulitzer, Spiegelman has been awarded a Guggenheim fellowship and was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and in 2005, he was made a Chevalier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France.
Born in Sweden, he lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
