Ananda Devi

Ananda Devi published her first collection of short stories at the age of nineteen. Over the next four decades, she has become one of the major literary voices of the Indian Ocean. She has been translated into several languages and has received decorations from Mauritius and France, including the title of Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2010, and in 2014 a major award from the Académie Française.
