Alex Williams is a third-year student at The University of Alabama, where she is currently double-majoring in Communication Studies and Public Relations and plans to pursue public interest at a law school after completing undergrad. In her studies, Alex is focused on furthering her knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for marginalised communities while navigating the complex world of public relations and communication. Her interest in communication and public relations stems from her goal to promote spaces for underrepresented voices to be understood and celebrated. Ms. Williams has worked as an ambassador for her College of Communication & Information Sciences and as a Public Relations Director for her university’s black excellence magazine. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she intends to use her education and commitment to equity to contribute to helping others.
