Abhigna Mooraka is the Coordinator of Membership & National Engagement at PEN America. A writer and educator originally from Bangalore, her work appeared in The Margins, Electric Literature, Catapult, The Rumpus, and The Adroit Journal, among other publications. She is also an alum of the 2023 Emerging Writer Fellow with Kweli Journal and the Tin House Winter Workshop.
Prior, Mooraka worked as a Publicity Assistant at Broadside PR, where she supported campaigns for award-winning literary titles under publicists Michael Taeckens and Whitney Peeling. In addition to her literary work, she has been training in the Indian classical dance form Kathak for over a decade.
Mooraka holds an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University.
