Aasif Mandvi is an actor and a correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
In 1999 he received an OBIE award for his critically acclaimed one man show Sakina’s Restaurant. He has also appeared on stage in Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom, Homebody/Kabul, subUrbia, Trudy Blue, and Speak Truth to Power, among other plays. His film and television credits include The Proposal, Ghost Town, The Mystic Masseur, Music and Lyrics, Sleeper Cell, The Sopranos, and the Robert Altman series Tanner on Tanner. He has had recurring roles on Jericho and ER.
He recently finished principal photography on the film 7 To The Palace, which he co-wrote.
