Joe Nocera

Joe Nocera is a columnist with Bloomberg View. Before joining Bloomberg in early 2017, he spent 11 years at The New York Times as a columnist and magazine contributor, including five years on the oped page. At Fortune magazine, he spent ten years as both a writer and editor, including editorial director. He has written business columns for Esquire and GQ, served as a contributing editor at Newsweek, an executive editor at New England Monthly, and a senior editor at Texas Monthly. From 1978 until 1980, he was an editor at The Washington Monthly. Nocera has won numerous awards for his business journalism, including three Gerald Loeb Awards. A 2007 Pulitzer finalist, he is the author of four books, including the 2008 New York Times best-seller, All The Devils Are Here: The Hidden History of the Financial Crisis, co-authored with Bethany McLean. His latest book, written with Ben Strauss, is Indentured: The Inside Story of the Rebellion Against the NCAA.
