A Night at the Book Fair, a PEN America Young Patrons Event, will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., at Scholastic’s iconic headquarters in Soho. A Night at the Book Fair will pay homage to Scholastic’s famous book fair and will feature an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, celebrated writers, silent auction, free books, childhood nostalgia and a luminous rooftop view. You may even catch a glimpse of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Dress code is festive cocktail attire.

The PEN America Young Patrons are emerging philanthropists in their 20s and 30s who help identify, support, and elevate emerging creative voices whose work stands at the intersection of literary freedom and political engagement. For over 100 years, PEN America has championed the freedom to write, recognizing the power of the word to transform the world, while working to ensure that people everywhere have the freedom to create literature, convey information and ideas, express their views, and access the creative expression of others.
