Snapshots of Censorship

Newspaper headlines bring waves of stories about the censorship of research and teaching in higher education, whether by state legislation, federal action, or campus overcompliance. What is often lost are the impacts on faculty, who are being silenced, and on students, whose access to learning is compromised. That is why we are compiling these Snapshots of Censorship, stories that show that censorship is, and always has been, personal.
These stories complement the analysis in our annual reports on educational censorship in higher education. If you’d like to contribute to this ongoing project, please share your story with us here.
