Daniela Miranda is the Assistant to the Development team at PEN America. Her background is marked by a deep commitment to storytelling, immigrant rights, and environmental justice. Prior, she worked as a writer at Domino Magazine, specializing in arts and cultural reporting, as well as a paralegal at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, focusing on international litigation.
While studying at Barnard College, Miranda served as a staff writer for the Columbia Daily Spectator, where she independently produced a podcast examining the American criminal justice system. During her time at Columbia University, she held the role of President of Chowdah, Columbia University’s oldest sketch comedy troupe. Outside of work, she is an avid reader, comedian, and climate educator.
Miranda holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a Minor in Environmental Science from Barnard College and Columbia University.
