Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter Leader

Will Evans is a publisher, bookstore owner, writer, translator, and literary arts advocate. He is the executive director of Deep Vellum Publishing, which he founded in 2013. He owns Deep Vellum Books, a bookstore in Dallas’s historic Deep Ellum neighborhood, which he opened in 2016. Evans graduated from Emory University with degrees in history and Russian literature, and received a Master’s degree in Russian culture from Duke University. In 2016, he cofounded the multimedia entertainment studio Cinestate, where he produced several films and audio projects, and his translation of Russian writer Oleg Kashin’s novel, Fardwor, Russia! A Fantastical Tale of Life Under Putin, was published by Restless Books.

Sanderia Faye

Dr. Sanderia Faye is a distinguished novelist, short story writer, educator, and social justice advocate with a unique passion for pairing literature with fine wine as a certified sommelier. Faye’s literary work spans multiple genres, blending her love for storytelling with a deep appreciation for history, culture, and the human experience. She holds a PhD in English from the University of North Texas (2020), an MFA in Creative Writing from Arizona State University (2001), and an MA in Aesthetic Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas (2016). Her academic background reflects a rich understanding of aesthetic theory, creative writing, and African American narratives, with a particular focus on the intersection of race, class, and social justice.

Tim Staley

Austin Chapter Leader

Tim Staley lives in Austin, TX, where he is the executive director of the Austin Public Library Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the Austin Public Library and administers various literary programs including the New Fiction Confab, the Mayor’s Book Club, and Badgerdog creative writing workshops. Prior to the Library Foundation, he served as editor and director of development at the University of Texas Press for seven years. Tim graduated from Kenyon College.
