Robert Hitt was born in the Midwest and grew up in the State of Kansas. He has been writing his entire life and at the age of 46 this is his first contest entry. He writes in a wide variety of genres and forms, from comedy to drama to horror, from essays to short stories to movie reviews and more. A voracious reader, a musician, an artist, and a gardener. Robert is never bored, never boring, and in many cases mostly sane. He would like to thank Jess at PEN America for her support, Ariana for her wisdom, Emily for her kindness, and most of all Rachel, without whom he wouldn’t have had the courage to begin writing again.
