C.D. Wright is an American poet. She was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Her books of poetry include One With Others: a little book of her days, One Big Self: an investigation, Steal Away: New and Selected Poems, and Deepstep Come Shining.
She has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, the Bunting Institute, and the Lannan Foundation. In 2004 she was named
a MacArthur Fellow and in 2005 the Robert Creeley Award. She won the 2009 Griffin International Prize for Poetry. Her most recent title One With Others: a little book of her days
won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Lenore Marshall Prize.
Increasingly her works have tended toward hybridity, book-length projects and inflected with a documentary vision.
