Jackey R. Sollars

I was born on June 6, 1962, in Moremar, Oklahoma.

I began writing in the Andrews Middle School’s Creative Writing Program in Andrews, Texas. My credits include over a dozen award-winning short stories, essays, poems, and two screenplays. I aspire to publish five novels and to see my seven screenplays written, developed, and produced.

I am a member of the English Honor Society and hold an Associate’s degree in Academic Studies. I graduated with honors from Lamar State College of Beaumont TX, and have won writing awards from Lamar’s Expressions Magazine and Shot Caller Press of Portland, as well as two Mentorship Awards from PEN American Center for drama works. Not bad for a high school dropout.

I am also an active contributor to Prison Express of Cornell University.
