Mikola Dziadok

Dziadok is a Belarusian writer and blogger known for his outspoken criticism of the government. On November 12, 2020, he was arrested on charges related to a “public order offense.” His home was raided, and he was severely beaten during his arrest. Later, he was charged with anti-state crimes due to his writings. In November 2021, he was convicted and sentenced to five years in a penal colony. In September 2024, Dziadok faced further criminal charges for “disobedience” to prison authorities. He was scheduled to be released in April 2025, but remained in prison due to the new charges.
