Damous worked in political analysis and translation before founding Facebook and Telegram pages on which he actively published news updates and political commentary. In October 2023, he was arrested from his home in the West Bank following tweets he posted about the Israeli occupation’s targeting of Palestinian civilians. By the end of the month, he was transferred to administrative detention for 6 months.
