Ukrainian Poetry in Translation Reading

Join PEN America and the University of Pennsylvania for a reading of Ukrainian poetry in the original language and in translation. Moderated by Kevin Platt of UPenn and Polina Sadovskaya of PEN America, the event will feature seven Ukrainian poets reading their work alongside translations into English. This reading is part of the PEN/Penn Your Language My Ear translation project, which builds cultural bridges and amplifies poetic texts from across Eurasia.

Featured poets, translators and speakers include Kevin Platt, Polina Sadovskaya, Ostap Slyvynsky, Vitaly Chernetsky, Boris Khersonsky, Olga Livshin, Andrew Janco, Martha Kelly, Lyudmyla Khersonskaya, Anna Gruver, Lesyk Panasiuk, Alex Averbuch, Iya Kiva, Amelia Glaser, Yuliya Ilchuk, Katherine E.
