Amen Dilawar is a freshman at St. John’s University, majoring in Legal Studies and Political Science with a minor in Journalism. Born and raised in Pakistan, she sought refuge in the United States six years ago to escape religious persecution as a Catholic that constitutes less than 1% of the population. This journey has instilled in her a deep appreciation for seizing opportunities and embracing blessings. Her extracurricular engagement and academic pursuits have cultivated her expertise in writing and communication, establishing her credibility as a published writer who has composed work for publications such as Teens for Press Freedom, Thinker’s Chronicle Newspaper, LIC Post, and Navy Seapower. As she treads her path ahead, she aspires to serve as a government official with utmost dedication while empowering immigrants with vital resources, promote equity for marginalised communities, and champion the noble cause of social justice, a cornerstone of our nation’s essence.
