Let’s celebrate the freedom to read in Tennessee! Join the Rutherford County Library Alliance and PEN America for a special community event celebrating the freedom to read.
The first portion of the event (4-6PM) will include activities for all ages, including games, free books, face paint, zine making, drag story hour, crafts, local organizations tabling, and more! The second part of the event (6-9PM) will include freedom to read workshops, a panel discussion, and a special performance to close the night out.
Authors Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events, All the Wrong Questions) and Kaitlyn Sage Patterson (The Diminished, Windy Creek Stables) will be joining the event.
Food trucks will be available with food to purchase. The building is ADA accessible and ASL interpretation will be provided for the panel and performance.
