Emma Sorkin

Program Coordinator, Higher Education and Free Expression

Emma Sorkin is the program coordinator for higher education and free expression at PEN America. Previously, she worked at The Quad Preparatory School as a Development and Communications Assistant, where she helped to expand access to education for neurodiverse students. She also taught English in Logroño, Spain and children’s art classes at Red Panda Art Studio in Washington, DC. 

Sorkin was the editor-in-chief of her college’s newspaper and a reporter at The Portland Press Herald in Maine. She holds a BA in History and Hispanic Studies from Bowdoin College.
