Hassan Touzandehjani

Hassan Touzandehjani, a poet and activist, was detained on August 20, 2025, during a home raid alongside other cultural figures, with his electronic devices confiscated. He was held incommunicado, denied family visits, and detained in Ward 209 of Evin Prison without access to a lawyer, with reports of deteriorating health. For several months, there was no progress in his case and any potential charges remained unknown. He was released on bail on December 17, 2025.
