While known for starring in such iconic films as AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and producing and starring in Martin Scorsese’s AFTER HOURS, Golden Globe Award and Oscar nominee GRIFFIN DUNNE has worked behind and in front of the camera for over 40 years. His acting credits include THIS IS US, opposite Mandy Moore and Sterling K. Brown, DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, and Joey Soloway’s provocative Amazon Studio series I LOVE DICK opposite Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Hahn. He started producing at age 23 with CHILLY SCENES OF WINTER (dir. Joan Silver)and followed with BABY IT’S YOU (dir. John Sayles) RUNNING ON EMPTY (dir. Sidney Lumet) ONCE AROUND (dir. Lasse Halstrom) and WHITE PALACE (dir. Louis Mandoki) before pivoting to direct and write an Oscar nominated short called DUKE OF GROOVE. Other directing credits include ADDICTED TO LOVE staring Meg Ryan, PRACTICAL MAGIC starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, FIERCE PEOPLE starting Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland, and THE CENTER WILL NOT HOLD about his aunt Joan Didion. In 2024 Dunne wrote a New York Times best selling family memoir called THE FRIDAY AFTERNOON CLUB.
