Sylvia Jones is a Literary Programs Gap Year Fellow at PEN America. She lives in Baltimore, MD. She earned her MFA from American University in 2020 and has been a reader for the lit journal, Ploughshares since 2019. More recently, she served as a 2021-22 Stadler Fellow in literary editing at Bucknell University. Right now, she’s associate poetry editor at Black Lawrence Press and teaches part-time at both, Goucher College and The George Washington University. Her writings have appeared or are forthcoming in: Smartish Pace, DIAGRAM, the Santa Clara Review, the Hopkins Review, Revolute, Shenandoah, Poet Lore, Cortland Review, Spilt Milk, and elsewhere.
