Shahid Nadeem

Shahid Nadeem is an acclaimed Pakistani playwright known for his commitment to human rights, peace, and social justice. A prisoner of conscience in Pakistan, he was exiled until 1988, when he became Executive Director of the Ajoka Theatre. Nadeem has been a Getty/PEN International Fellow and a National Endowment for Democracy Fellow, and received the President of Pakistan’s Pride of Performance award.
