His writing has appeared in The Times Literary Supplement, Words Without Borders, The White Review, The Point, Bookforum, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and many others. He is a senior editor of the journal of translation Two Lines and directs publicity for the translation presses Two Lines Press and Deep Vellum.
