Rula Jebreal

Rula Jebreal is an Israeli journalist and television broadcaster.

In 2000, Jebreal became the first foreign anchorwoman in Italy to broadcast the evening news on national television. She was recognized by Media Watch in 2004 for her coverage of the Iraq war and received the International Ischia Award for Journalist of the Year in 2005.

Her books include Miral and La promise d’Aswan, winner of the International Fenice Europe Prize. Her work in television includes the show Anno Zero, which she co-presented with Michele Santoro.

Jebreal lives in New York City, where she is currently finishing her fourth book.
