Mary Gordon has written the novels Final Payments, The Company of Women, Men and Angels, The Other Side, Spending, and Pearl; a story collection, Temporary Shelter; a book of essays, Good Boys and Dead Girls; a biography of Joan of Arc; and three memoirs, The Shadow Man, Seeing Through Places, and Circling My Mother, which is her most recent book.
Gordon is a professor of English at Barnard College.
