Julia Leigh

Julia Leigh is the author of The Hunter, a New York Times Book Review Notable Book of the Year, and Disquiet, winner of the Encore Award (United Kingdom). Both books have been widely translated. In 2011 she wrote and directed the feature film Sleeping Beauty, which was selected for main competition at the Festival de Cannes. From 2002 to 2003, Julia Leigh was mentored by Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.
