Johanna Hamilton, producer and director of 1971, has been making documentaries for fifteen years. She co-produced Pray the Devil Back to Hell, a feature-length documentary about the women’s peace movement in Liberia, which won the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival Best Documentary Film Award. She has produced nonfiction programs for PBS, The History Channel, and A&E.
