Emily Kehoe is a fellow with the Development department at PEN America. She recently graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA with a degree in History and minor in Economics. While at Smith, she was a member of the Field Hockey team, making the Academic All Conference Team in 2021. She spent last summer working as an intern for Historic Hudson Valley where she read and transcribed handwritten letters from the family of Judge Josiah Ogden Hoffman (1766-1837). The previous summer, she interned at an accounting firm in Wellesley, MA. At both internships, she gained a deeper appreciation and understanding of the value of the written word and honed her organizational and developmental skills, both of which inspired her to pursue work with the Development Team at PEN. Following her work with PEN, Emily is hoping to pursue graduate studies in Law.
